Story

Part 1: Introduction – The World of Ali Baba

Once upon a time, in a small, quiet village surrounded by golden deserts, there lived a kind and humble man named Ali Baba.

He was a woodcutter by trade, spending his days in the forest, chopping firewood to sell in the market.

Despite his hard work, Ali Baba had very little, and his family often struggled to make ends meet. But Ali Baba never complained. He was a good-hearted man, always ready to help anyone in need.

Ali Baba’s brother, Kassim, was very different. While Ali Baba worked hard, Kassim was greedy and cared only about wealth.

He was a merchant, always trying to find ways to make more money. Kassim often mocked Ali Baba for his simple life, calling him foolish for not seeking riches like he did.

But Ali Baba did not care. He thought that goodness was better than gold, and he was satisfied with what he had.

Every day, after cutting firewood in the forest, Ali Baba would return home to his small house, where his wife and children waited for him. They didn’t have much, but they were content.

One hot afternoon, while Ali Baba was deep in the forest, something amazing was soon going to happen that would change his life forever.

Part 2: Discovery of the Secret Cave

One sunny afternoon, Ali Baba ventured more into the forest than ever before. The sun blazed overhead; the air is filled with the soft rustling of the leaves.

As he searched for the best trees to cut, he suddenly heard the galloping of horses in the distance.

Startled, Ali Baba quickly hid behind a large rock, peeking out to see who was coming. His heart raced as he spotted a group of men riding into the clearing.

There were forty of them, all dressed in dark robes and carrying weapons. Their leader, a tall man with a fierce expression, dismounted and walked toward a large, rocky hill.

Ali Baba watched in silence, wondering what they were doing so deep in the forest. To his amazement, the leader stood before a massive rock wall and shouted in a commanding voice, “Open Sesame!”

Secret-Cave

It made Ali Baba’s head spin. Suddenly, the rock-walled moved to reveal an open entrance leading inside a well-hidden cave.

The fellows disappeared within its dark hole, all the while balancing heavy sacks loaded with some jingling coins or treasures. This made his eyes the thieves were sure, stealing rich and burying loot in the secret cavern.

For what seemed like hours, Ali Baba stayed hidden, hardly daring to breathe. Eventually, the thieves came out of the cave, their leader once again shouting, “Close Sesame!”

The rock wall slid shut as if nothing had ever happened, and the thieves rode away, disappearing into the distance.

Ali Baba sat in silence for a moment, his mind racing. He had just discovered the secret of the thieves’ treasure! Summoning his courage, he decided to approach the mysterious rock wall. Standing where the leader had stood, he took a deep breath and said, “Open Sesame!”

To his astonishment, the stone wall moved open, and inside a cave bursting with gold coins, jewels sparkling, and precious treasures were revealed.’

Ali Baba went in, his heart beating fast with excitement and fear. The cave was vast, with its walls glistening by the light of the treasure.

However, Ali Baba was not greedy. He took only a small pouch of gold coins—only just to help his family—and slowly came out from the cave.

He said with his last words, “Close Sesame!” The stone wall then covered him, once again locking the treasure deep within its chambers.

With gold safely kept inside his pouch, Ali Baba sped back to his village, not knowing that this event would one day bring danger and adventure.

Part 3: Ali Baba’s Daring Visit to the Cave

Ali Baba returned home with a pouch of gold hidden under his robe. His heart still raced from the incredible discovery.

That night, he sat with his wife by the warm glow of their small lamp and revealed the treasure he had found. His wife gasped in amazement as he poured the coins onto the table, their golden shimmer lighting up the room.

What a boon!” she cried. “But, Ali Baba, how did you happen upon this treasure?”

Ali Baba paused, but he had faith in his wife’s discretion. He told her everything—he spoke of the forest, of the robbers, and of the enchanted grotto. She listened, wide-eyed, holding every word to herself.

We have to be careful,” Ali Baba warned her. “The thieves must never know that I have discovered their secret. We will use this gold wisely and take only what we truly need.

The following day, Ali Baba went back to the forest to make sure that the discovery he made was not a dream.

He again stood before the rocky hill, said the magic words, “Open Sesame,” and the cave opened before him.

Ali Baba entered, and for the first time, he really gazed at the treasures surrounding him. Mountains of gold coins shone in the dim light that filtered through cracks in the walls of the cave.

Chests were overflowing with jewels, goblets encrusted with emeralds, and silk sacks brimming with rare treasures.

But Ali Baba kept his promise to himself. He filled his small pouch with enough gold to support his family for many years but left the rest untouched.

As he exited the cave and sealed it with the words “Close Sesame,” he felt a mix of awe and caution. This treasure could bring great joy but also great danger.

Part 4: Kassim’s Greed and Trouble

When Ali Baba finally arrived home, his family became elated at their newfound fortune. But the news of all this good fortune soon became known to his brother Kassim. Curious as well as suspicious, Kassim went to visit Ali Baba.

“What’s this I hear?” Kassim commanded with a sharp voice. “How can a simple woodcutter like you suddenly afford such luxury in living? I demand you tell me how this is possible!

Ali Baba hesitated, knowing his brother’s greedy nature. But after Kassim pressed him relentlessly, Ali Baba gave in and revealed the secret of the treasure cave. Kassim’s eyes lit up with greed as he imagined all the wealth he could take for himself.

The very next morning, Kassim set off for the forest, eager to claim the treasure for himself. Unlike Ali Baba, Kassim had no intention of taking only what he needed. Instead, he planned to empty the cave and keep the riches all for himself.

When Kassim reached the rocky hill, he called out confidently: “Open Sesame!” The cave opened, and Kassim’s jaws dropped on seeing the treasure.

Having forgotten all caution, he rushed inside, stuffed sacks full of as much gold and jewels as he could carry in.

But greed blinded Kassim. As he piled treasure after treasure into his bags, he lost track of time.

When he finally turned to leave, he realized with horror that he had forgotten the magic words to open the cave.

“Open Barley!” he shouted in desperation. “Open Wheat! Open anything!” But the cave remained sealed.

Panic set in as Kassim realized he was trapped.

Greedy-Brother

He banged on the rock wall and shouted, but there was no escape. The cave grew darker as night fell, and Kassim’s greed turned to fear. What would happen when the thieves returned?

Part 5: Ali Baba’s Heroic Rescue

In the village, Ali Baba noticed his brother Kassim never returned. The morning is becoming afternoon and still no brother shows up.

He dreaded what might happen to him or probably what was happening; therefore, Ali Baba started to look for him in the forest.

When Ali Baba reached the secret cave, he found footprints up to the rocky hill but none leaving it.

He felt a sinking feeling when he guessed what must have happened. Standing before the cave, he called out, “Open Sesame!

The rock wall slid open, revealing Kassim inside. His brother was pale and trembling, clutching sacks filled with gold and jewels. “Brother, help me!” Kassim cried. “I’m trapped, and the thieves will soon return!”

Ali Baba acted fast. He grabbed Kassim by the arm, telling him to leave the treasure behind. “We must go now!” he said firmly. Kassim reluctantly dropped the sacks and followed Ali Baba out of the cave

. As soon as they stepped into the sunlight, Ali Baba shouted, “Close Sesame!” The cave was sealed shut just in time.

“Why did you take so much?” Ali Baba scolded. “Your greed nearly cost you your life!”

Kassim, shaken but unrepentant, replied, “That treasure should belong to us! Why leave it for the thieves?”

Ali Baba frowned. “We don’t need all that gold to live a happy life. It is better to be content with what we have than risk everything for greed.”

The two brothers ran back to the village, unaware that the thieves were already making their way back to the cave.

When the leader arrived and saw the treasure disturbed, he roared in fury. “Someone knows our secret!” he growled. “We will find them and make them pay!”

Part 6: The Thieves’ Revenge Plot

With this determination to catch the thief, the leader of the thieves came up with a crafty plan.

They traced the footprints outside the cave to the village. The leader ordered his men to pretend to be merchants and ready for an ambush.

Meanwhile, Ali Baba attempted to resume his quiet life. He warned Kassim to keep the secret of the treasure and avoid drawing attention to themselves.

But Kassim, unable to resist the lure of riches, carelessly boasted to his wife about the treasure, who in turn whispered it to others in the village.

Before long, rumors spread, and the thieves grew closer to uncovering Ali Baba’s identity.

One night, a mysterious merchant came to Ali Baba’s house, seeking shelter. The merchant declared that he was an oil seller and came with large jars of oil for his business.

Ali Baba, being the hospitable man that he was, invited the stranger into his home and gave him a place to rest.

What Ali Baba did not know was that the merchant was, in fact, the leader of the thieves. The rest of his men were hidden inside the oil jars, waiting to strike once the village fell asleep.

But Morgiana, Ali Baba’s loyal servant, was sharp-eyed and clever. As she cooked dinner that night, she noticed something odd.

While checking the oil jars, she heard muffled whispers and movement inside. Her heart beat rapidly as she realized the danger.

Clever-Servant

Thinking fast, Morgiana came up with the idea of saving Ali Baba and his family. She lit a torch and, noiselessly, went around the jars.

One after another, she poured hot oil into each jar to kill the thieves inside. When the chief of the thieves knew that all his men were defeated, he fled into the night, threatening revenge.

Part 7: Justice and Reward

The next morning, Morgiana’s excited voice woke up Ali Baba. “Master Ali Baba! The thieves are no longer a threat!” she said.

Ali Baba, bewildered, rushed to the courtyard and found the oil jars empty. He then realized what Morgiana had done.

“You saved us all, Morgiana!” Ali Baba said with gratitude. “Your cleverness and bravery have protected my family.”

But Morgiana warned, “The leader of the thieves escaped last night. We have to be watchful, since he will surely come again.”

Days passed, and the village continued its routine of silence; however, Ali Baba stood ready. Meanwhile, the robber chieftain, who failed in his plan, put aside his anger and donned once again the costume of the traveling merchant.

Now, he befriends one day Ali Baba’s son in the market, acting once again as a good Samaritan peddling rare goods.

The unsuspecting Ali Baba invited the merchant to his house for a feast as he was going to celebrate his son’s new friendship.

The thief accepted, planning to strike at Ali Baba when he least expected it.

On the day of the feast, Morgiana noticed something odd.

The merchant’s eyes were keen and full of hatred; his smile seemed too artificial, and her instincts told her that something was terribly wrong.

In silence, she armed herself with a dagger and prepared to act if needed.

Thieves-Defeated.

As the feast went on, the thief grasped his hidden dagger and prepared to strike Ali Baba. But before he could do so, Morgiana sprang forward, holding her dagger at him. “This man is the chief of the thieves!” she exclaimed.

The thief froze in shock as the other guests turned to look at him. Realizing he had been caught, he tried to escape, but Ali Baba’s family and friends overpowered him.

Justice was finally served, and the leader of the thieves was no longer a threat.

Part 8: Moral and Conclusion

Now, since the thieves were defeated and the treasure was safe, Ali Baba made sure it was used for good. He distributed it among his people, helping the poor, who gained love and respect from everybody.

Ali Baba Reward

For Morgiana, Ali Baba rewarded her bravery and loyalty by treating her like part of his family. For her bravery and speed, she was celebrated as a hero since she saved Ali Baba and his family members from a great risk.

Ali Baba continued to lead a simple and honest life, as he had earlier. Although he had at his disposal treasure beyond the imagination of man, he was aware of the value of kindness, humility, and justice.
