The ground gave way below him as a heavy net arose and began to wrap around his body so tightly that he roared in surprise and anger to find himself ensnared in hunters’ traps.
His powerful claws slashed against the ropes, and his muscles pulled tight for freedom; the tighter, however, the net had grown against him.
His mighty roars echoed through the jungle, sending birds flying from the trees and alarming every creature within earshot.

It was sunset, and a golden glow was now painting the jungle. Max was determined, chewing through the final rope, causing the net to loosen and fall off of Leo.
Leo, finally free, shook his body so he could get rid of all the strings that were still sticking into his fur. He gazed at Max with his gold-filled eyes.
